PMC Investment Leader
The Investment Leader and assistants promote Investment in all Sabbath School divisions. He or she arranges reports of interesting projects and promotes participation. The leader(s) manages a "yard" sale every year and/or other money-raising events. He or she must be a good organizer, be enthusiastic and have good speaking abilities.

The Story Behind Investment
Between 1880 and 1890 some Seventh-day Adventist church members came up with the idea of dedicating an amount of money, some cattle, a portion of a crop or something else to provide funding for various projects such as camp-meeting, etc. By 1900 the plan was promoted not just in North American Adventist churches, but also in Adventist churches abroad.

Early Investment projects financed mission work. In 1905, Lottie Lohman gave five cents each to her Sabbath School children in Hamilton, Missouri. Alice, Faye, Mary, Katherine and Alfred invested their nickels in seeds to plant and eggs to hatch. God blessed their industry, and their five nickels grew to US 11.52 for missions!

At PMC, our fund-raising activities include an annual yard sale, collecting veggie food labels, Christmas gift wrap project, and individual projects created by Sabbath School members. Participants in Sabbath School Investment become members of the Mustard Seed Club.
